Improvements:

  • Fixed image upscaling: the result could come out shifted, with part of the image cut off. Small images were hit hardest, but the edges of larger ones were affected too.
  • Fixed shadows that were cut off with a hard line around the preview, the edit toolbars, the layers panel and the Settings window.
  • Some shadows only appeared once you moved the mouse over them. They now show up right away.

  • Service messages: ShotScreen can now show a short notice from us, for example about planned server maintenance. It appears as a card at the top of Settings, with a small info badge on the menu bar icon and a breathing info button next to a fresh screenshot until you have seen it. Maintenance times are shown in your own time zone.
  • Update badge: the menu bar icon now shows a small arrow when a new version of ShotScreen is ready, and the menu tells you which version is available.
