ShotScreen is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how our screenshot application handles your information.

Data Collection

ShotScreen does not collect, track, or store any personal information. No analytics, telemetry, or user tracking is performed.

Data Usage

• Screenshots are saved locally to your chosen folder
• Settings and preferences are stored locally on your device
• No user data is collected or transmitted
• No analytics or tracking is performed
• No user accounts or profiles are created

Background Removal Model

ShotScreen downloads a background removal model (BGRM) from our server when you first use the background removal feature. This is a one-time download of the ML model file only. No user data is sent to the server during this download, and the model runs entirely locally on your device.

Data Storage

All screenshots, thumbnails, and preferences are stored locally on your Mac. The background removal model is cached locally after download.

Network Usage

ShotScreen connects to the internet only for:

• One-time download of the background removal model
• Checking for app updates (if enabled)

No personal information or usage data is transmitted during these connections.

Permissions

ShotScreen requires the following permissions to function:

• Screen Recording: To capture screenshots of your screen and windows
• Accessibility: To detect window positions and enable advanced screenshot features
• File System Access: To save screenshots to your selected folders (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, or custom locations)

Children's Privacy

ShotScreen does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
